Stronghold Games will release Dark Moon, a new version of BSG Express, which the company says was "the most downloaded print and play game ever on Board Game Geek." BSG Express was an unauthorized mod of Fantasy Flight Games’ Battlestar Galactica board game, redesigned by Evan Derrick to play in 60-75 minutes instead of the two to three hours required to play the FFG original.
Stronghold has streamlined BSG Express with a new theme, while retaining the hidden traitor mechanics, and will professionally publish the result as Dark Moon, streeting June 24.
Players are divided into two teams, Uninfected and Infected. The Uninfected players are trying to survive while the Infected players are secretly trying to destroy them, and none of the players know which team the other players are on.
Box contents include 80 cards, 29 dice, 3 10mm wooden cubes, 15 8mm cubes, 47 tokens on a punchboard, player shields, rulebook, and board.
Dark Moon is for 3-7 players, ages 12 and up, and will retail for $59.95.
