French miniatures company Raging Heroes will release a new selection of armies for its Toughest Girls of the Galaxy miniatures line in 2016.

The new armies were funded via Kickstarter, in an abbreviated 15 day campaign that raised $801,057 from 3,052 backers ($262.47 / backer average). This topped the original TGG campaign from 2013 which raised $698,548 (see “First All-Female Miniatures Armies”).

The TGG 2: Darkness & Light line consist of six science fiction and fantasy-themed armies from three factions: Dark Elves, Sisters of Eternal Mercy, and Flesh Elves. The product types were divided into Sci-Fi Heroines, Sci-Fi Troops, Fantasy Heroines, Fantasy Troops, and Sci-Fi and Fantasy Creatures.

The miniatures are unassembled, and feature ball-joint assembly for customization. They are available in spin-cast resin, with most of the Heroines also available in metal.  Raging Heroes uses small foundries located in the UK and the US to produce its product, and expects to begin shipping miniatures in waves beginning this fall, with backer fulfillment expected to be completed in March 2016, with trade release to follow.

The Kickstarter page also stated that Toughest Girls in the Galaxy miniatures game project is still in the works.
