The goal in Garbage Day is to be the only player that doesn’t have an overflowing pile of garbage cards. To avoid collecting trash, players must carefully balance their cards on top of an ever-growing pile, heaped on top of a plastic trash can; or by cleverly hiding trash cards in their “room.” Should any of the garbage fall off the can during your turn, you must add them to your overflow pile, and if your pile gets too large you are eliminated from the game.
Garbage Day includes a plastic trashcan embossed with the Mayday Games logo, 87 garbage cards, 21 “mischief” cards, and 5 room cards. The game is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about half an hour. MSRP is $20.
Mayday Games plans to fund Garbage Day through a Kickstarter campaign, which will be launched soon.
