Japanime Games’ sister company Kamikaze Games has announced the new deck building game El Alamein, set in the world of Barbarossa for release next summer. The game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Similar to Barbarossa (see “Anime-Based 'Barbarossa Deck Building Game'”), the WWII alternate history deck-building game moves the anime Nazi girls to Africa, to defend Africa from the British (like the German Afrika Korps).

The deck-building game features a unique combat system, and many cards stay in play until they are removed by an effect. This game introduces a new game mechanic, the British Counterattack. The game plays on its own, or can be combined with Barbarossa (minus the new rules around British Counterattack, cities, and Victory Cards).

The game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, and blew through its $10,000 goal in less than an hour. The Kickstarter runs through October 20, with backer fulfillment planned for July. Trade release for the game is planned for August.  MSRP is tentatively $50.00.
