Upper Deck announced it will be bringing back the popular Extended Art (EA) cards for the VS. System 2PCG.  It has also added official organized play documents for the game.

The EA cards extend the art image to the edges of the card frame, limiting the amount of text and text frame that normally bisected it. The cards were popular collector items for players of the original VS. System game, available through booster packs and as promotional items.

The new EA cards will be available as promotional items, initially available through events and as sales incentives for distributors, an Upper Deck spokesperson told ICv2.  In the future, the cards will be added to organized play kits as both participation and event placement prizes. The cars will be legal for official tournament play.

Upper Deck has added downloadable VS. System 2PCG game  documents to its organized play website, which include a rules, keywords, and card FAQ;  a rules book for the Marvel Battles; and a blank decklist sheet .

At Gen Con, Upper Deck Manager-Entertainment Brands Jason Brenner shared the company’s future  plans for the game, including release schedule and plans to add other licensed properties in the future  (see “'VS. System' Will Add 'Firefly,' 'Predator,' 'Alien,' More”).
