SyFy is developing a drama based on Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook’s Harrow County, Deadline is reporting.

Bunn (The Sixth Gun) and Crook (Bad Blood, B.P.R. D. Hell on Earth)’s Dark Horse series launched in May, and the property was announced as being in development with Universal Cable Productions in July as one of the properties part of a “First Look” Deal between the publisher and production company (see “Dark Horse Signs 'First Look' Deal with Universal Cable Productions”).

Becky Kirsch, who worked on both Twelve Monkeys and Dominion for SyFy, will adapt the comic property.  The story follows a 17-year-old named Emmy, who was born the day an evil witch was put to death. The ghosts, goblins, and restless dead from around her home whisper that she will have great power one day, and that the townsfolk know it, and want her dead.

The first graphic novel collection released to the direct market this week.
