Z-Man Games has announced the new two-player game Haleakala for release in February.

Players compete in honoring their ancestors’ traditions by building statues around the Hawaiian volcano. The closer the statues are to the crater, the more valuable they are. However, as players use the scoring cards to get bonus points, they must also try to predict where the volcano will erupt next. A boat, moved by playing numbered discs, circles the island, and will determine what sector of the island will be evaluated for points.

The box contains an island board, a scoring board, a fishing boat, 2 shamans, 16 statues, 2 scoring markers, 16 discs and 49 cards.  The game is for 2 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in about 40 minutes.
