Modiphius Entertainment has released Secrets of the Dust, a new title from its Crossover series that combines the World War II-based Achtung! Cthulhu RPG with Paolo Parente’s Dust alternative history universe.
Achtung! Cthulhu combines the history of World War II with the cosmic terror of H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. Parente’s Dust imagines a World War II changed and expanded after the discovery of alien technology by the Nazis. In this alternate world, the war continues to engulf the entire world well into the year 1947.
Secrets of the Dust allows players to combine these two themes together into one game, offering both Lovecraftian horrors and the bizarre VK technology of Dust--alien enhanced weapons, walking tanks, vat-grown doppelgangers, and intelligent gorilla astronauts. The book includes both rules for adding the weird tech of Dust to Achtung! Cthulhu and rules for introducing Lovecraft’s creations to Dust. Two adventures are also included, set in the Dreamlands and an alternate timeline, suitable for characters from either setting. The book is fully compatible with Call of Cthulhu Sixth Edition and Savage Worlds roleplaying games.
Secrets of the Dust is available in both print and pdf versions. MSRP for the print version is $29.99, and includes a code for the pdf download.
In April, Modiphius plans to release a table-top miniatures game based on Achtung! Cthulhu (see "Modiphius Brings 'Achtung! Cthulhu' to Tabletop").
