“Sushi Go Party! takes the best part of sushi go, which is card drafting, and combines it with deck building so you can customize each game that you play,” said Jason Schneider Gamewright ‘s VP Product Development. In this version, players collectively decide which of the 20 types of sushi cards (maki, sashimi, edamame, chopsticks, ect) will be used in the game. Games still last for 3 rounds, but now points can be counted with the soy sauce counters.
The game can now support up to 8 players. Release is planned for June 1 and MSRP is $21.99.
Bring Your Own Book is a party game where every player brings a book to the game, and attempts to complete a card prompt read by the judge. Players skim their book to find “a ridiculous tabloid headline" or “dating advice” or “the title of the next hit party game.”The game is for 3 - 8 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. MSRP is $14.99 and release is planned for late spring.
The Cardventures – the Play-Your-Path Game solo player line debuts with two titles this summer. The storytelling deck has cards with choices on the bottom, which direct the player to the next card. Based on how far in the story a player gets, they earn different points, which lead to different endings. Cardventure #1 - Stowaway 52 has the player stow away on an alien ship that’s about to attack Earth. Cardventure #2 – Jump Ship! Casts the player as a pirate gathering treasure as he movies from ship to ship.The games are for 1 player, ages 8 and up, and play in 15 minutes. MSRP is $10.00 each. Release is panned for May.
Rolling America is a dice game where players attempt to fill in a map of the United States with the numbers rolled. However, neighboring states can’t have numbers that differ by more than one. All players compete simultaneously, so the goal is to complete the map with the fewest mistakes.The game is for 1 or more players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 15 minutes. Release is planned for spring. MSRP is $10.99.
