Back to the Future: OUTATIME is a push-your-luck style dice game inspired by the classic movie trilogy. Players race to power up their DeLorean time machine’s flux capacitor to the 1.21 gigawatts it requires to travel through time. As an added twist to the genre, in this game players can use their opponents’ dice rolls also.
Back to the Future: OUTATIME was designed by Daryl Andrews. The game for 2 - 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about 15 minutes. Details and packaging are not final, pending licensor approval. MSRP is expected to be $14.99.
Last September, IDW announced a Back to the Future card game, also slated for May release (see “‘Back to the Future’ Card Game”).
The second title in the Awesome Kingdom line, Mines & Labyrinths can be used as a stand-alone game or combined with the earlier The Tower of Hateskull as an expansion (see “‘Descent’ Designer’s Dungeon Crawl Satire”). This new set, designed by Kevin Wilson (Descent, Arkham Horror), features two dungeons: Cretin’s Labyrinth and the Mines of Murray. Both dungeons offer new monsters, traps, and treasures.Awesome Kingdom: Mines & Labyrinths is for 2 - 4 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in about 45 minutes. MSRP is $29.99.
