Netflix and Marvel Entertainment have released new art for the upcoming Daredevil Season 2, which shows both Punisher and Elektra in outfits more reminiscent of their comic book origins.

Perhaps it’s similar to what the show’s producers did with Matt Murdock’s costume evolution in Season 1, developing things slowly before settling on a more mature final look. The first shots of the newcomers were grittier and more realistic (see “Elektra and Punisher Step Up to the Plate”). These new costumes harken back to their trademark looks.
