Marvel’s Doctor Strange Prelude #1 (of 2) will debut on July 6. Written by Will Pilgrim, with art by Jorge Fornes, this official prequel to the movie introduces the world of the Sorcerer Supreme. An ancient relic has been stolen from the British Museum and the Masters of the Mystic Arts must find the culprit before it’s too late. The issues will be collected in a trade paperback with other stories and released on October 5.
Doctor Strange: Strange Origin is written by Greg Pak and Jason Aaron, with art by Emma Rios and Chris Bachalo, and a cover by Julian Totino Tedesco. Doctor Strange and the Secret Defenders will be released on September 7. The story is written by Roy Thomas and Ron Marz, with art by Andre Coates and Tom Grindberg and a cover by Tim Sale. The Master of the Mystic Arts revives the original non-team, picked from a deck of magical tarot cards, to face down a slew of evildoers. The collection includes Secret Defenders #1 – 11. MSRP is $29.99. Doctor Strange Annual #1 will release on September 28. The story is written by Kathryn Immonen and Robbie Thompson, with art by Leonardo Romero and a main issue cover by W. The story will see the return of Clea in the wake of the Doctor’s worst beating ever, and what she has in mind makes that battle look like a walk in the park. Marvel Universe Doctor Strange Digest collects Marvel Universe Ultimate Spider-Man #21, Marvel Adventures Hulk #5, Marvel Adventures Super Heroes (2008) #5 and #9, and material from Marvel Adventures Super Heroes (2010) #21.
