Players take on the role of rival dukes, each hoping to be the next king of Valeria by gaining esteem through slaying monsters and building your domain. Up to five players can play the game in 30 to 45 minutes, and it also includes a solitaire mode. Designed by Isaias Vallejo (Sunrise City, Villages of Valeria), Valeria: Card Kingdoms has elements reminiscent of deckbuilding games and worker-placement games.
The game includes 108 Citizen cards, 42 Monster cards, 24 Domain cards, 10 Duke cards, 10 Exhausted cards, 10 Starter cards, 5 Player Reference cards, 32 Divider cards, 50 Gold tokens, 50 Strength tokens, 50 Magic tokens, 25 Victory Point tokens, 14 Cardboard tokens, 2 custom 6-sided 20mm dice, and an illustrated rulebook.
