Ravendesk Games is partnering with Pinnacle Entertainment Group to release Herald: Lovecraft & Tesla The Tabletop Roleplaying Game in May 2017.
Set in the Roaring Twenties, players take roles of famous historical figures from the time period (H.P. Lovecraft, Nikola Tesla, Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein, Harry Houdini, Sonia Greene, Marie Curie, Babe Ruth, Josephine Baker, Jack Dempsey, Charlie Chaplin, Clara Bow, Kandinsky, Trilussa, Keaton) or create their own characters to battle the encroaching Cthulhu Mythos creatures who invade their world. The game uses Pinnacle’s Savage Worlds roleplaying system. The 175-page rulebook includes history, creatures, equipment, vehicles, maps, campaigns, a guide to the ElseWhere dimension of the Elder Gods, an adventure generator and more. There is also a “Yearbook” section of famous 1920s figures who joined H.P Lovecraft and Nikola Tesla in their battle against the Old Ones. MSRP is $39.99.
Ravendesk will also offer game accessories including ceramic "bennies," 32mm miniatures by Bronze Age Miniatures, battle maps and a deck of herald playing cards for Savage Worlds.
The game was recently funded with a Kickstarter campaign that raised $24,321 from 437 backers ($55.65/backer average).
