Asmodee and Ystari are releasing a new stand-alone expansion to the Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective game series, entitled Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures.
The newest expansion contains ten entirely new cases, six of which are stand-alone and four of which can be linked to form a campaign, pitting the genius of Sherlock Holmes against the challenge of one of the most notorious killers the world has ever known, Jack the Ripper.
This campaign is intended for more mature players, and the information in these cases is drawn from actual testimonies and known facts from the real-world Jack the Ripper murders of 1888. As such, they include some grisly and disturbing details not seen in the game prior to this expansion.
The expansion contains a rulebook, ten case booklets, ten newspapers, and two maps (including a new map of Whitechapel).
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective: Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures releases in Q4. MSRP is $49.99.
In a related theme, Fantasy Flight Games is releasing Dear Boss, an expansion to Letters from Whitechapel for Q4 (see "'Dear Boss' Expansion").
