According to Deadline, the deal was struck after a competitive bidding process.  The series has been set up with Matt Tomach Productions and Legendary TV. The project is being written by Seth Hoffman (co-executive producer of The Walking Dead). Matt Tolmach Productions’ Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man) David Manpearl, and Top Cow’s Marc Silvestri and Hawkins will executive produce.

Postal is written by Matt Hawkins (Think Tank) and Bryan Hill (Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box), with art by Isaac Goodhart. The series debuted from Top Cow in February 2015. Image will release Postal Vol. 4 in December. The series is set in Eden, Wyoming, a town populated by fugitive criminals. No illegal activity is tolerated, lest it draw attention to the town. Then the first murder in 25 years happens, and the FBI descends, trying to turn Mark Shiffron, the youngest son of the town’s guardians, against his fellow residents.
