Image Comics will release Santiago Garcia and David Rubin’s epic adaptation of Beowulf on December 14.  Originally published in Spanish, this will be the first English language release.  

The book is written by Garcia (Spanish Fever), with art by Rubin (The Hero, The Rise of Aurora West). Faithfully following the original story, Beowulf tells the tale of a Scandinavian hero. He sets out to challenge the monster Grendel, who has been devouring men and women in the region for 12 years.

The 208-page full-color hardcover has an MSRP of $29.99.
