Anti-roleplaying game, anti-comics crusader Jack Chick passed away at 92 on Sunday, according to a Facebook post by his company. Chick was famous for his comics and comic-style tracts that told of the dangers of comics, roleplaying games, homosexuality, and Catholics, among other "threats." He’s been quieter since the early 00s, when he was on a crusade against D&D with web posts (see "Jack Chick Takes on 'D&D' Again").
The old guard of anti-geek crusaders is turning over. Dr. Thomas Radecki, a longtime critic of comics and hobby games, was sent to jail earlier this year (see "Anti-RPG, Anti-Comics Doc Goes to the Slammer").
But Chick’s death does not mean the end of his cause. David W. Daniels, in a Facebook post from Chick Publications, says "Our promise to you -- Nothing changes: the Method, the Vision, the Purpose."
