Golden Goblin Press has reached an agreement with Chaosium Inc to produce a new line of books for the Cthulhu Invictus supplements of the popular Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game.

Golden Goblin has been publishing articles and scenarios for Call of Cthulhu that combine real historical events with the weird horror of the Lovecraft Mythos.  Under the multi-year license, the company will now produce official Call of Cthulhu supplements that explore the ancient Roman Empire and mythos-related activities set in that time period.

In addition to the main Cthulhu Invictus book, Golden Goblin currently plans four books exploring the different regions of the Empire, including The Exotic East, The Inner Empire, The Northern Frontier, and Britannia and Beyond.  Two collections of adventures, De Horrore Ulteriorie and De Horrore Ultimo are also planned, along with an as-yet unnamed Cthulhu Invictus campaign supplement.

Golden Goblin recently published another Cthulhu-based book set in the Roman era, De Horrore Cosmico, and is currently developing Island of Ignorance:  The Third Cthulhu Companion.

Earlier this year, Chaosium announced an OP program to support the new 7th Edition of Call of Cthulhu (see “First OP Campaign for ‘Call of Cthulhu’ 7th Edition”).
