On May 16, fans of the universally acclaimed Logan will have a chance to see the film in black and white.

Director James Mangold revealed the special edition via Twitter. “Suggestion. Hard core B&W loving LOGAN fans should not make any plans on the evening of May 16th,” Mangold tweeted, adding, “To make a great B&W version of a film, the whole thing's gotta be regraded & timed shot by shot."

The black and white version film will have a limited release on May 16 in U.S. theaters only and will eventually be made available on DVD. Logan’s very successful domestic (full-color) run netted $221.6 million here in North America and nearly $600 million worldwide (see “'Furious 8' Sets Worldwide Box Office Record”).

The black and white version of Logan follows in the footsteps of Mad Max: Fury Road, which was released in the monochromatic Black and Chrome Edition last year.
