The collaboration between Green Ronin Publishing and Greater Than Games to create Sentinels of Earth-Prime has borne fruit.  The new cardgame based on Sentinels of the Multiverse and the Mutants & Masterminds RPG will release in May next year.

Announced in February (see “Green Ronin, Greater Than Games Join Forces”), Sentinels of Earth-Prime combines the proven game system from Greater Than Games’ Sentinels of the Multiverse with the well-established setting and characters from Green Ronin’s Mutants & Masterminds.  The game was the result of a collaboration between Sentinels designer Christopher Badell and the creator of the Earth-Prime setting, Steve Kenson.  The stand-alone game will be compatible with previous Sentinels of the Multiverse sets.

Sentinels of Earth-Prime pits the heroes of the Freedom League against the villains of Earth-Prime.  The game will include 10 different Hero Decks, 4 Villain Decks, 4 Environment Decks, divider cards to help sort the various decks in the box, and cardboard tokens needed to play.  MSRP is $39.95.

Green Ronin will be handling production and distribution of the game.  The company is funding the project through a Kickstarter campaign, which has attracted more than $112,000 from over 2,000 backers with 9 days remaining.  The campaign does include a retailer-only backer package, which includes two copies of the game and all stretch goals.  Backer fulfillment is scheduled for next April, with release into the trade to follow about a month later.

The Kickstarter campaign is also offering four additional add-on decks.  No word yet as to whether they will also be offered through distribution.
