A new original graphic novel from SLG Publishing explores racial inequality in New York City during the Civil Rights Movement.
Josephine, by Kevin Sacco (The Plane Story), recounts the emotional bond between a young boy from the Upper West Side and his Harlem-based nanny Josephine during the turbulent 1960s. Drawn from Sacco’s own life experiences, the dialogue-free OGN relies on images alone to tell the story. The 132-page, black and white softcover will be available in August at an MSRP of $12.95.
