Marvel moved quickly to replace a key departed sales and marketing staffer. Andrea Towers has joined Marvel Entertainment as Sales and Communication Administrator, according to her Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. Towers was most recently a freelance writer (she’d done some work for Marvel), and had a stint ending last spring as Assistant Editor at Entertainment Weekly.
Towers replaced Chris D’Lando, who’d been with Marvel since 2013 and left as of May 1, according to a series of Twitter posts. In them, he expressed gratitude for his time at Marvel, but said he “needed to make a change.” He described his colleagues as “some of the best creators in the business,” and “some of the hardest working behind-the-scenes people” and said he looked upon all of them fondly.
