The world of the fairies will be unveiled in Renegade Game Studios’ new card game Atlas: Enchanted Lands, releasing this fall.

Designed by J. Alex Kevern (World’s Fair 1893, Gold West), the game has players place cards  which reveal a certain place and time (dawn, day, sunset, night) and then place their stake in one of the two. Each card includes two choices, which will uncover different part of the world. The goal is to predict the time or place that will be uncovered first. Depending on the cards the players chose, sets of similar cards, or numerically ascending cards will be unveiled, which are worth different points to each player depending on how many correct combinations they predict.  The game is illustrated by Beth Sobel (Lanterns: The Harvest Festival).

The game includes 32 cards, 64 chips (16 per player) and 4 suit tokens. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. MSRP is $20.00.

Renegade will release another Kevern design this summer (see “Artificial Intelligence Arrives in 'Sentient'”).
