Originally released in 2013 (see “Four Games You May Have Missed”), Dropzone Commander is a tabletop science-fiction miniatures-based wargame.  It is based on 10mm scale, which is smaller than most miniatures games, allowing players to create battles with more combatants in a smaller playing area (for a discussion on the design philosophy behind the game, see “‘Dropzone Commander’s’ U.S. Push”).

Hawk is currently in alpha testing of the game’s revised ruleset.  The new edition is intended to balance existing units while maintaining support for models that are already part of the game.  The new rules will be published in book form, and new models will also be released as the new edition rolls out.
