The date coincides with the release of the Riverdale graphic novel collecting the recent comic series (see “'Riverdale' Comic Series in the Works”). Archie Comics is also offering retailers an additional 15% discount to stock up on key graphic novels and collections from 9/27 -10/18 in anticipation of the event.
Retailers interested in hosting an event will have their store’s information included in Archie Comics’ Riverdale Day social media promotions and newsletters sent to fans and press. They can also contact Archie Comics Retailer Liaison, Marc Hammond about setting up a signing with Archie Comics creators in their store if interested.
Riverdale premieres on Wednesday, October 11 at 8/7C.
