DC Comics is starting the
Doomsday Clock with almost-midnight release parties. Participants will be able to put
Doomsday Clock #1 on sale at 11:57 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21. Retailers who opt in by October 2 will be able to order the
Doomsday Clock #1 11:57 p.m. Release Variant, a black-and-white version of the issue #1 variant cover by Gary Frank. Participating stores will also receive a free bag of
Doomsday Clock promotional pins (with an option to order more), a free bundle of 25 lithographs featuring Gary Frank’s art, and cake topper art.
For participating retailers, the early release time also extends to other DC titles.
Doomsday Clock is a 12-issue miniseries that brings together characters from Alan Moore and Gibbons’ Watchmen and characters from the regular DCU (see “'Watchmen' Universe and DCU Collide in 'Doomsday Clock'”). Geoff Johns is writing the series with Frank on art duties (see “Watchmen Start the Doomsday Clock”).
