Z-Man Games has announced a new edition of Kingsburg, the classic game of city-building and courtly intrigue, planned for Q4 release.

Designed by Andrea Chiarvesio (Hyperborea, Kingsport Festival) & Luca Iennaco (Olympus, Fairy Land), the game was originally released in the U.S. by ElfinWerks in 2007 (see “Will Niebling Forms Elfinwerks”). Players take the role of province governors appointed by the king to prepare the province boarder from attack by monstrous invaders. The goal is to build up the territory and earn a place on the Royal Council after five years of management. The new edition includes the base game, all five modules from the To Forge a Realm (see “Fantasy Flight's July Releases”), and the new Alternate Advisor Rewards module.

The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 90 – 120 minutes. MSRP is $59.99.
