The story of Tunnels & Trolls in Japan goes full circle on February 1 when Flying Buffalo releases T&T Adventures Japan, bringing material from a Japanese gaming magazine in an English-language version for fans in the U.S.

T&T Adventures Japan will collect a variety of material from the Japanese T&T Adventures Magazine.  It will include manga-style fantasy comics, solitaire adventures, and standard GM-run adventures for Tunnels & Trolls, along with an introductory version of the game rules written specifically for this book by Tunnels & Trolls creator Ken St. Andre.  The rules are designed to allow players who are new to the system to use the material in this book without requiring any other Tunnels & Trolls books.

All of the material in this 60-page book is presented in English.

Tunnels & Trolls - which publisher Flying Buffalo claims is the second oldest fantasy role playing game in the world - has been enjoying a resurgence of late, with a new deluxe edition published in 2015 breathing new life into the game and a new digital-based platform for the planned by MetaArcade (see “MetaArcade Launching with ‘Tunnels & Trolls’”) offering a new way to play.
