ComicsPRO has announced the host city for their 2018 and 2020 annual meetings: Portland, Oregon.

The annual retailer trade association meetings, which bring together retailers, vendors, and publishers, will take place February 22- 24 , 2018, and February 20 - 22, 2020, at the Hilton Downtown Portland. Preconference events for the 2018 meeting will begin on February 21.

The location and dates for the 2019 meeting are yet to be determined.

To reach additional areas around the country, ComicsPRO will also host a one-day conference in fall 2018 on the East Coast, with plans to make the fall event an annual occurrence attached to a comic convention. The location of the one-day conference for 2018 has not yet been announced.

Portland is a hotbed of comics, with Dark Horse, Image, Oni, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund calling the city home and IDW hosting a satellite office in the city. Portland hosted the 2016 ComicsPRO annual meeting (see “ComicsPRO Industry Awards Go to David Gabriel & William Gaines”).

The 2017 ComicsPRO meeting took place in Memphis (see “ComicsPRO Announces New Board, Awards”).
