Ten new mysteries await the world’s greatest sleuth in Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective:  Carlton House & Queen’s Park, which Asmodee will release in Q1 of 2018.

Carlton House & Queen’s Park will be the third stand-alone set in Asmodee’s ongoing Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective series of mystery games.  Like the earlier editions, the players act as members of Holmes’ “Baker Street Irregulars” that have been sent out into the streets of gaslight-era London to help solve a series of 10 mysteries, using clues from reproduction newspapers and a casebook full of witness interviews.  This set introduces two new locations:  the beautiful Queen’s Park and the mysterious and foreboding Carlton House mansion and grounds.

The new set includes 10 cases for players to explore, including the longest Consulting Detective mystery to date, which requires three “days” in the game to solve.  Some of the cases are updated and revised versions of mysteries that were included in the original Ystari Games Queen’s Park Affair, published in 1984, which have not been available in English for quite some time.  The set also includes new mysteries appearing in English for the first time.

Carlton House & Queen’s Park comes with 10 casebooks, newspaper reproductions, a poster map of Victorian London, and a London Directory booklet.  It is intended for 1 to 8 players, ages 13 and up, and takes an hour or longer for each case.  This is a stand-alone game that does not require the earlier Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective sets to play.  MSRP is $49.99.

The most recent Consulting Detective set was released earlier this year (see “‘The Thames Murders & Other Cases’”).
