Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal will take another bow in theaters during a two-night run in February. Fathom Events is presenting the 4K restoration of the film on February 25 and February 28 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local. Locations and tickets will be available on the Fathom Events website on January 12.

Each screening will also air a new featurette about the film with Jim Henson Company CEO Lisa Henson. The theatrical release comes in advance of the March 6 release of the 4K ultra HD version on Blu-ray and digital streaming.

The Jim Henson Company has partnered with BOOM! on a number of comic releases based on their properties. In early 2018, BOOM! is releasing a hardcover adaptation of The Dark Crystal (see “Discover 'The Dark Crystal'”) and an origin story for the Goblin King from another revered Henson film, Labyrinth (see “The Goblin King Gets A Backstory”).

River Horse Games is releasing a board game inspired by The Dark Crystal in early 2018 (see “Another Jim Henson Classic Adapted Into Board Game”).
