Blennemann is the owner of German publisher Spielworxx, which specializes in producing German games or German/French versions of English-language wargames. Blennemann has been working the game industry professionally since 1993. He recently worked for ADC Blackfire Entertainment GmbH and grew the board and card gaming distribution, and was a Brand Manager at Phalanx Games. Blennemann will be based in Germany.
“This is not a shift in our brand strategy, but an expansion,” said co-owner Bill Thomas. “We are not going to reduce our military simulations output; our fans can rejoice.” Thomas co-owns Compass Games, which was founded in 2004, with Ken Dingley.
Compass is publisher of Silent War and Enemy Action: Ardennes. It’s next release will be Nightfighter Ace: Air Defense Over Germany, 1943 – 44 in March. It also publishes Paper Wars, a wargame review magazine which is available with an optional full wargame add-on.
