Fifth grade Barbara Thorson (Madison Wolfe) is a sharp-tongued hero who isn’t afraid of anything. She kills giants for a living, or at least that’s what she says. But when her fantasy and reality collide, how can she tell what’s real and what’s not? Mrs. Molle (Zoe Saldana), the school psychologist, tries to help her.
The Image Comics graphic novel, which collected the miniseries, was nominated for an Eisner Award and selected for the 2010 YALSA list of Great Graphic Novels for Teens (see "2010 Great Graphic Novels for Teens”).
The film will open in theaters, On Demand and Digital HD on March 23.
