IDW Games has partnered with Brazilian publisher Taberna do Dragao to release the sci-fi worker placement/ resource management game Galaxy Hunters in August.

Designed by Daniel Alves, Galaxy Hunters casts players in the role of mercenary Mech teams, hired by Megacorps to hunt and harvest mutated monsters. The worker and tile placement game features a unique pilot and mech combination system that allows players to customize their mech with weapons, powers and abilities as they defeat monsters and earn rewards. As the game progresses, the monsters become more difficult. Only one player will be triumphant and be names the world’s best Galaxy Hunter.

The box includes 4 Mega Mech figures (50 mm), 14 ship miniatures, 4 player board, and an assortment of cardboard tiles and game pieces.  The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 3 hours. MSRP was not announced.
