Three comics companies recently announced staffing changes.
Wes Harris has joined Dabel Brothers Publishing as Vice President of Business Development. Harris is a former VP of Business Development at White Wolf Publishing, Director of Brand and Product Marketing at VIZ Media, and VP of Publishing at BOOM! Studios. At Dabel Brothers, Harris will oversee special account sales and foreign language sublicense sales, oversee management of inbound / outbound licensing, and contract negotiation and drafting. At Lion Forge, Christina “Steenz” Stewart is transitioning from Social Media & Community Manager to Associate Editor. Stewart joined Lion Forge in 2016 after serving as admin of the Valkyries and Valkyries Valhalla. She also works as a cartoonist, managed an Eisner-winning comics shop, and worked as a librarian, advocating for the format. Dark Horse also announced several promotions. Spencer Cushing, Shantel LaRoque, and Ian Tucker have all been advanced to Editor positions. Cushing has been with Dark Horse for nearly 10 years in various positions. LaRoque has worked in the editorial department of the company for six years, And Tucker has been with the company for eight years. Megan Walker has been promoted to Associate Editor.
