Double news on the celebrity health front in the last couple of days, as director, performer, and comic writer Kevin Smith left the hospital, and Marvel icon Stan Lee released a video revealing that he is recovering from pneumonia.

Kevin Smith, who had a heart attack during a performance on Sunday (see "Kevin Smith Suffers Massive Heart Attack"), was released from the hospital on Tuesday.  He posted on Twitter that his heart was “feeling good!  It’s actually getting more blood flow and oxygen than it has in a long time.”

Stan Lee, who had a health scare last month due to irregular heartbeat (see "Stan Lee Hospitalized"), revealed in a video to TMZ (embedded below) that he’s been battling pneumonia, which has led to cancellations of recent appearances.  "I haven’t been in touch with you lately.  I had a little bout of pneumonia I’m fighting, but it seems to be getting better.  I want you all to know I’m thinking of you, of course I always think of the fans, and I hope you’re all doing well, and I miss you all."

Lee has also had financial problems, with TMZ reporting also that “detectives working in a specialized unit that deals with elder financial abuse” visited Lee this week to investigate further thefts of cash.  In January, the site reported that an investigation was underway of two unauthorized withdrawals from Lee’s accounts totaling $1.15 million.  This latest reported theft is of additional large sums.
