Cryptozoic Entertainment will release Pantone: The Game, an easy-to-learn competitive party game that uses color swatches inspired by the Pantone color matching system in game play, later this year. The object of the game, designed by Scott Rogers (God of War video game, Rayguns and Rocketships), is to recognize characters who are represented by arrangements of colors. If no one guesses the character during a round, a Hint is given, reducing the value of identifying the character.
The game includes 132 character cards, 60 swatch cards in 15 colors, a swatch card tray, and rulebook. Pantone: The Game is for 2 to 20 players ages 6 and up, and plays in 15-30 minutes.
The game is one element of a Pantone licensing program that includes such products as Pantone skateboards (who knew?).
