Boomerang is loading up on original animated content, including new series for Scooby-Doo and the Flintstones. The streaming network, which is Turner’s all-animation service targeted at kids and families, greenlit Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? and Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs to series according to The Hollywood Reporter. Both series are from Warner Bros. Animation and will debut in 2019.
Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? teams up the Scooby-Doo gang with celebrity guests and pop culture icons. NBA star Chris Paul, Halsey, Sia, Ricky Gervais, Kenan Thompson, Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Mark Hamill, Steve Urkel (played by Jaleel White), Batman, Sherlock Holmes, The Flash, and Wonder Woman are just a few of the stars set to appear in the series. Chris Bailey (Kim Possible) produces, with Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) as executive producer. (Notably, Scooby-Doo recently co-starred with Batman in Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold; see "DVD Round-Up: 'It,' 'American Made,' 'The Foreigner,' 'Batman & Scooby-Doo,' 'Naruto,' & 'My Little Pony'").
Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs! centers on the youngest members of the Flintstone and Rubble clans. Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm are joined by Dino on an adventure in the wildlands surrounding Bedrock. The show is produced by Mark Marek (MAD) and Marly Halpern-Graser (Right Now Kapow). Register (Teen Titans Go!) executive produces.
Boomerang also renewed Be Cool Scooby-Doo!, Bunnicula, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, New Looney Tunes, The Tom and Jerry Show, and Wacky Races.
