Marvel is taking readers back to 1961 with the Fantastic Four #1 Facsimile commemorative edition. The edition reprints the first issue of the series by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, complete with the original ads and extra content. The 48-page issue will be in stores on August 29 for an MSRP of $3.99.

Fantastic Four #1 Facsimile will reintroduce the world to Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Sue Storm, and Johnny Storm, including their transformation into the Fantastic Four after being bombarded by cosmic rays. The release comes along at the same time as the Return of the Fantastic Four, a new ongoing series about comics' first family from Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli (see “'Fantastic Four' Return to Comics”).
