Churchland (Prophet, Beast), a winner of the Russ Manning Award (see “2010 Eisner Awards”), posted a series of illustrations and essays on the Hchom blog. What started as a way to vent her material wants eventually coalesced into a story about goblins and their pursuit of treasure. Churchland recently ended the blog, indicating that the work had artistically run its course. The Hchom Book will collect the original columns, as well as some new material.
