ACD Games Day gave Jellybean Games an opportunity to show off three new titles they are releasing later this year:  Ninjitsu, releasing August 22, The Lady and the Tiger, hitting September 5, and Show + Tile, coming out September 19.

Ninjitsu is the first game in the Treasure Hunter Series planned by Jellybean.  The games in this series will be quick card games suitable for all ages, and each game will be playable on its own.  As company founder Peter Hayward explained to ICv2, “The Jellybean ethos is that all of our games can be played by kids and given to kids, they can play with each other.  Adults will enjoy them as filler games. An adult and a kid can play against each other, and they’ll both be engaged for the whole game.”

In Ninjitsu, players try to be the first to reach 21 points by playing cards as treasures or as actions.  But treasures are played face down, and if an opponent steals one it could turn out to be a trap.

Ninjitsu was created by Hayward (Scuttle!, Traitor Mechanic:  The Traitor Mechanic Game).  It is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 6 and up, and takes about 10 minutes to play.  MSRP is $14.95.

The Lady and the Tiger is inspired by the iconic dilemma tale, and includes five different games in one box: a deduction game, a bidding game, a puzzle game, a maze game, and a bluffing game, all played with a common deck of 33 tarot-sized cards illustrated by former Disney artist Tania Walker; and 25 gem counters.

The number of players varies by game, ranging from the solo puzzle game Hoard to the 2 to 6 player bluffing game Traps.  Four of the games are designed to be suitable as “couples games” for 2 players. Recommended for ages 8 and up, games play in about 20 minutes.  MSRP is $19.95.

Rounding out the offerings is the tangram-based Show + Tile, created by Isaac Shalev and Matt Loomis.  In this game, players try to get others to guess their words using only patterns they create using the tangram tiles.  The game is played without turns, with all players creating their shapes then guessing at the meanings at the same time.

Show + Tile supports 3 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about half an hour.  It includes 84 tangram tiles, 105 word cards, and a 90-second timer.  MSRP is $24.95.
