With Wizards of the Coast recent announcement of the next Dungeons & Dragons storyline set in the wards of Waterdeep (see "WotC Reveals Two New 'D&D Waterdeep' Volumes"), WizKids has unveiled the next licensed set for its D&D Icons of the Realms prepainted plastic miniatures line: Waterdeep Dragon Heist. Release is planned for September.
The D&D Icons of the Realms: Waterdeep Dragon Heist Set comes in two configurations, the Eight Ct. Booster Brick and the Standard Booster. Each Standard Booster includes four figures: 1 large or 1 unique huge figure, and 3 medium or small figures. The Standard Booster Brick contain 8 Boosters (32 figures total). Each Standard Booster Case includes 4 Standard Booster Bricks (128 figures total). The set includes new player characters and monsters including the Human Warlock of the Fiend, Pit Fiend, the founder of the Zhentarim, Manshoon, and animals like the Dire Wolf and Brown Bear. There are 44 figures to collect.
The D&D Icons of the Realms: Waterdeep Dragon Heist Case Incentive - City of the Dead is available for customers who preorder a Waterdeep Dragon Heist Standard Booster Case to order as well. The set of pre-painted miniatures includes several statues and monuments as well as several coffins: Weeping Women Statue (x1), Cloaked Man Statue (x1), Doomed Man Statue (x1), Sarcophagus A (x1), Sarcophagus B (x4), Deva Statue (x2), Dwarf & Death Statue (x1), Death Bed Statue (x1), The Beseecher Statue (x1), and a Man & Skull Statue (x1). MSRP is $49.99.
