Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, Dynamite Entertainment is announcing high profile series and talent for Rainbow Bright, Mars Attacks, Battlestar Galactica, and more.

Dynamite is partnering with Hallmark to bring Rainbow Brite to comics in October.  The all-ages series will be written by Jeremy Whitley (My Little Pony, Unstoppable Wasp) and drawn by Brittney Williams (Goldie Vance, Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!).  Rainbow Brite #1 will include several variant covers, including Paulina Ganucheau, Tony Fleecs and a classic cover.  The series will see best friends Wisp and Willow leaving their small town and embarking on an adventure to stop an unknown force from stealing color from the world.

Dynamite and Topps have partnered to release a new Mars Attacks! comic series this October.  The series will be written by Kyle Starks (Rick and Morty, Rock Candy Mountain) and drawn by Chris Schweizer (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, The Creeps).  Mars Attacks! #1 will feature variant covers by Tom Mandrake, Ruairí Coleman, Eoin Marron, Robert Hack, and a subscription cover by Schweizer.  Spencer has a problem finishing things, so he’s caught a bit off guard when Martians invade while he’s visiting his father to try to borrow money.  Now they’re both on the run, dodging death rays and ducking flying saucers as the wacky aliens give chase.

John Jackson Miller (Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo) will add a new chapter to another beloved sci-fi property when he pens a new miniseries coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of Battlestar Galactica.  Daniel HDR (Red Sonja) will illustrate this classic series adventure where Commander Adama and the Galactica crew encounter another fugitive fleet, also fleeing a mortal enemy.  Can they partner and defeat the Cylons?  Issue #0 will launch in October with a .35 cent introductory price.

Dynamite will release the first ever Fallout Collector’s Trading Cards series, based on art and design taken directly from Bethesda Game Studios’ collection.  The base set includes 144 cards, 72 Holofoil chase cards, 10 Die-Cut chase cards, and 5 Ultra-rare chase cards.  The cards include weapons, gear, characters and more featured in the video game franchise.  Release is planned for October.

Billy Tucci (Shi, Sgt. Rock) will pen the return of WWII newspaper strip character Miss Fury to comics in Miss Fury: Joy Division launching this October.  Emma Kubert will illustrate, and multiple covers for issue #1 will be available including ones by Tucci, Kubert, Ken Lashley, Mike McKone , and Jan Duursema.  The story will see Miss Fury battling the Nazi Joy Division.

Dynamite’s favorite characters are getting their own standalone Halloween one-shots: Vampirella, Red Sonja, Bettie Page, Elvira, and Ash from Army of Darkness. Each 40-page issue will feature spooky fun in the spirit of the holiday and release in October.  (See all five covers in the Gallery below!)

Dynamite made several announcements on Monday as well (see “New Adventures for James Bond, Lone Ranger, KISS”).
