On November 9, Bushiroad will release the PSYqualia Strife Mini Booster set, available in two-card booster packs, for its Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game.
PSYqualia Strife takes its inspiration from the on-going animated series, featuring the "trump cards" used in the competition between the characters Aichi and Kai, "Exculpate the Blaster" and "Transcendence Dragon, Dragonic Nouvelle Vague." The set also includes reissued cards from the Aichi Sendou and Toshiki Kai Trial Decks, intended to strengthen Royal Paladin and Kagaro decks.
The complete set includes 36 card types with the following rarities: 2 VR, 4 RRR, 6 RR, 10 R, and 14 C, plus 2 SVR parallel cards and 16 Gift Marker cards featuring scenes from the animated series. Eight of the cards in the set are new, with the remainder being reissue cards, some with alternate art designs. The cards will be sold in two-card "mini boosters" and one of the two cards in each booster will be R rarity or above, possibly a rare holo version of a C rarity card.
The mini boosters will be packaged in 32-pack booster boxes, and each booster box will include either a VR or SVR card.
PSYqualia Strife will release about a month after Strongest! Team AL4 set, which features "Team Asteroid" (see "Team Asteroid Joins ‘Cardfight!! Vanguard’"). Bushiroad produced a new anime series about the game earlier this year, as well as launching a new OP program and a new marketing strategy (see "Bushiroad to Revamp ‘Cardfight!! Vangurad’").
