Bushiroad has announced that it will be winding down its Dragoborne: Rise to Supremacy trading card game. The last booster set, Reckoning of Vashr will release on October 26.
Created by high-profile game designer Mike Elliott (Thunderstone, Quarriors!), Dragoborne was launched last year (see “Bushiroad Unveils ‘Dragoborne’ TCG”), but it did not achieve the popularity of Bushiroad’s other titles.
The company will continue to support the game through monthly in-store tournaments, complete with prizes, through February of next year. The Regional Championships for the game will still be included in the Bushiroad Championship Series, with tournaments scheduled later this year in six cities around the world. Dragoborne events in the U.S. will be held in Secaucus, New Jersey on September 1-2 and Anaheim, California on November 10-11. Winners of the Regional Championships will still be eligible for sponsored invitations to the World Finals held in Japan.
The fourth booster set for the game was released in July (see “‘Dragoborne: Surge of Titans’ Adds ‘Overflow’”).
