Hasbro announced plans to develop a new Power Rangers movie as a follow-up to the 2017 motion picture. It is currently seeing a film studio to work with.
In a recent article posted by International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association, Hasbro’s CEO Brian Goldner told analysts about the movie plans and shared expectations of growth for the recently acquired brand (see "Power Rangers Go! Go! to Hasbro in $500 Million Deal").
The 2017 Power Rangers movie released on March 24, 2017 and grossed $85,364,450 domestically and $142,337,240 worldwide. While not a huge hit considering its $100 million budget, Saban had already indicated plans for more films ahead of release (see "'Escape From New York,' 'Power Rangers 2,' 'Archer & Armstrong,' 'Suicide Squad 2,' More").
