The Game Manufacturer’s Association released a statement to its membership on August 7 regarding an incident at Gen Con which resulted in Iello COO and GAMA President Stephan Brissaud being expelled from the show (see "Iello COO, GAMA President Expelled from Gen Con"). The board is meeting this week to consider what actions, if any, to take (see "GAMA Board to Consider Police Report, Photos, Other Findings").
Dear GAMA Members,
As information has come to light about an incident involving Gen Con security and Stephan Brissaud (President of GAMA but acting in his capacity as COO of IELLO at the show), the GAMA Board of Directors want to ensure the membership that it is investigating the matter fully, including conversations with witnesses and reviewing any available reporting from the event. Mr. Brissaud has made a public statement on the incident. We recognize the importance of full transparency and will follow up upon review and contact with those involved. We thank the membership for their patience at this time.
Cordially,
The GAMA Board of Directors
