Nauvoo Games will release a cooperative sci-fi board game based on Bandon Sanderson’s bestselling YA novel series The Reckoners in October.

Sanderson’s dark superhero trilogy: Steelheart, Firefight, and Calamity, take place in dystopia where, 10 years ago, a strange object appeared near Earth and exploded, granting a random set of ordinary humans super powers. Distressingly, these “Epics” all turned evil and have taken over the world.  The Reckoners are a group of ordinary humans who hunt and assassinate the Epics. In the game, the Reckoners are trying to take out Steelheart, the evil overlord of Chicago (now called Newcago).

Players take the role of various members of the Reckoners team (David, Megan, Abraham, Prof, Cody, Tia), who simultaneously roll dice and decide what actions to take, while working cooperatively toward the goal of defeating Steelheart.
