DC Comics has revealed the two of the variant covers for the upcoming Justice League / Aquaman: Drowned Earth event.  The covers are inspired by the upcoming Aquaman film, which stars Jason Momoa and will be in theaters on December 21 (see "Best in Shows--Q4 2018").

Justice League / Aquaman: Drowned Earth #1, which is on sale October 31, will feature a cover by Francis Manapul (Trinity).  Justice League #11 will have a cover by Francesco Mattina and will be on sale November 7.

The yet-to-be-revealed variants include:

  • Aquaman #42 by Ben Oliver (on sale November 21)
  • Justice League #12 by Lucio Parillo (on sale November 21)
  • Aquaman / Justice League: Drowned Earth #1 by Dale Keown (on sale November 28)
  • Aquaman #43 by Nicola Scott (on sale December 19)

The event is written by James Tynion IV, along with Justice League creative team Scott Snyder and artists Howard Porter, Francis Manapul, and Frazer and Aquaman’s Dan Abnett and Lan Medina (see "An Upsurge In Underwater Evil Threatens Aquaman And The Justice League").  Tynion is also scripting the Justice League Dark / Wonder Woman event in that kicks off this month (see "It's 'The Witching Hour' for Wonder Woman and Justice League Dark").
